【摘要】:Thistestmethodisusedbyathleticfootwearmanufacturersandothers,bothasatoolfordevelopmentofathleticshoecushioningsystemsandasatestofthegeneralcushioningcharacteristicsofathleticfootwearproducts.Adherencetotherequirementsandrecommendationsofthistestmethodwillprovideresultsthatcanbecomparedbetweendifferentlaboratories.Dataobtainedbytheseproceduresareindicativeoftheshock-attenuatingpropertiesofathleticshoecushioningsystemsunderthespecificconditionsselected.Thistestmethodisdesignedtoprovidedataontheforceversusdisplacementresponseofathleticfootwearcushioningsystemsunderessentiallyuniaxialcompressionconditionsatloadratesthataresimilartothoseofheelandforefootimpactsduringdifferentathleticactivities.Thepeakormaximumvaluesofforce,pressure,displacement,andstrainaredependentonthemaximumenergyappliedtothespecimen.Thesevaluesarenormalizedtoprovidecomparativeresultsforareferencemaximumenergyappliedtothespecimenof5J(44.2in.-lbf)or7J(61.9in.-lbf).Shock-attenuatingcharacteristicsarestronglydependentonspecimensizeandpriorhistoryofforceapplication.Therefore,resultsshouldbecomparedonlyforspecimensofthesamenominalshoesizeandpriorimpactconditioning.Therearenocurrentlyacceptabletechniquesfornormalizingresultsforspecimenthicknessvariations.Note28212;Impact-attenuatingscoresdeterminedbythistestmethod,forathleticshoes,maynotcorrelatewiththeforcesexperiencedbyindividualusersoftheshoes.Note38212;Thereisnoresearchshowingacorrelationbetweenscoresonthistestmethodandtheprobabilityofinjuryamongusersofaparticularathleticfootwearproduct.1.1ThistestmethodcoversproceduresforthemeasurementoftheimpactresponsepropertiesofathleticshoesusingProcedureAofTestMethodF1614.1.2Thistestmethodislimitedtotestsusingafallingweightimpactmachine,asdefinedbyProcedureAofTestMethodF1614.1.3Thistestmethodisintendedforuseontheheelandorforefootregionsofwhole,intactathleticshoecushioningsystems.Anathleticshoecushioningsystemisdefinedasallofthelayersofmaterialbetweenthewearer''sfootandthegroundsurfacethatarenormallyconsideredapartoftheshoe.Thismayincludeanyofthefollowingcomponents:outsoleorotherabrasionresistantlayer,amidsoleorothercompliantcushioninglayer,aninsole,insoleboard,orothermateriallayeroverlyingthemidsole,partsoftheupperandheelcounterreinforcementwhichextendbeneaththefoot,andaninsockorothercushioninglayerinsidetheshoe.1.4Thistestmethodisnotintendedforuseasatestofshoesclassifiedbythemanufactureraschildren''sshoes.1.5Thetype,sizeordimensionsandthicknessofthespecimen,andthereferencemaximumenergyappliedshallqualifytestresultsobtainedbythistestmethod.1.5.1Nominalspecimenthicknessvaluesforthistestmethodareintherangefrom10to60mm(0.4to2.4in.).Theareaoftheshoetobetestedmustpresentanapproximatelycircular,flatsurfaceofatleast65mm(2.6in.)indiameterforimpacting.1.5.2Thestandardvalueforthereferencemaximumenergyappliedbythistestmethodis5J(44.2in.-lbf)forshoeswhicharesubjecttomoderateimpactsduringnormaluseand7.0J(61.9in.-lbf)forshoeswhicharesubjecttohighimpactsduringnormaluse.Othervaluesmaybeused,iftheyarestatedinthereport.1.6Thistestmethodisnotappropriateformeasuringtheimpactresponseofshoesthatarenotsubjectedtomoderateimpactorhighimpactinnormaluse.1.7......
