【摘要】:Thesetestmethodsforthechemicalanalysisofmetalsandalloysareprimarilyintendedasrefereemethodstotestsuchmaterialsforcompliancewithcompositionalspecifications,particularlythoseunderthejurisdictionofASTMCommitteeA04onIronCastings.Itisassumedthatallwhousethesetestmethodswillbetrainedanalystscapableofperformingcommonlaboratoryproceduresskillfullyandsafely.ItisexpectedthatworkwillbeperformedinaproperlyequippedlaboratoryunderappropriatequalitycontrolpracticessuchasthosedescribedinGuideE882.1.1Thesetestmethodscoverthechemicalanalysisofpigiron,graycastiron(includingalloyandaustenitic),whitecastiron,malleablecastiron,andductile(nodular)ironhavingchemicalcompositionswithinthefollowinglimits:1.2Thetestmethodsinthisstandardarecontainedinthesectionsindicatedbelow:1.3ProceduresforthedeterminationofseveralelementsnotincludedinthesetestmethodscanbefoundinTestMethodsE30andTestMethodsE1019.1.4Someoftheconcentrationrangesgiveninaretoobroadtobecoveredbyasinglemethodandthereforethisstandardcontainsmultiplemethodsforsomeelements.TheusermustselectthepropermethodbymatchingtheinformationgivenintheScopeandInterferencesectionsofeachmethodwiththecompositionofthealloytobeanalyzed.1.5ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasstandard.Insomecases,exceptionsallowedinPracticeE380arealsoused.Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardsstatementsaregiveninSectionandinspecial"Warning"paragraphsthroughouttheseMethods.1.6Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofmanganeseinconcentrationsfrom0.10to2.00%.1.7Thismethodcoversthedeterminationofphosphorusinconcentrationsfrom0.02to0.90%.
