【摘要】:Solventsinatrafficpaintmaycausebleedingofpavementconstituentsintothetrafficmarking,therebyrenderingthetrafficmarkinglesseffectiveasalaneordirectionalindicator.Thispracticedescribeshowtoprepareapanelofthecoatingtobetestedandareferencepanelcoatedwithaspecificsolventbornetrafficpainttobeusedasacontrolforevaluation.Thispracticecanbeparticularlyusefulforevaluationofsolventbornetrafficpaints,butitmayalsobeusedforothertypesoftrafficmarkingsincludingwaterbornetrafficpaints.Twobasicproceduresaredescribedformeasuringtheamountofbleeding.Theprocedureusedshallbeagreeduponbythepurchaserandseller.1.1Thispracticedescribestestproceduresfordeterminingthedegreeofbleedingoftrafficorpavementmarkingpaints.Aspecificformulationforasolventbornetrafficpaintformulationisincludedasapotentialbleedingreferencecontrol1.2ThevaluesstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesgiveninparenthesesareforinformationonly.1.3Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.
